Mrs. Labrie is the second of a sibling of five. At 22, she accidently discovered sculpture as her father, a philosophy teacher took up pottery as a hobby. Then, she was challenged by some of her university art teachers to pursue and master her work. Her first exhibition took place in 1979 and she has been creating ever since which has also led her to the title of professional sculptor. Now she divides her time between creation and the care of her five children.
